Celebrating Black History Month

In honor of Black History Month, the Research Center has featured several books and DVDs that deal with African American journalists, journalism and culture. Please consider stopping by and checking out one today. These materials are featured on our homepage via our goodreads page.

Newseum – "World's Most Interactive Museum"

Newseum is located in Washington, D.C., it is 250,000-square-foot museum of news. Their site publishes an archive of front pages from more than 575 newspapers every morning. A gallery of newspaper front pages, which includes the most recent historical event: Barack Obama’s presidential win. Their site also includes other interactive features such as The Freedom Forum Journalists Memorial, which pays tribute those who have died reporting the news.
